FINDING PEACE IN NATURE
Saturday, October 16, 9:00 a.m.
In semi lock-down and STILL feeling burned out? Come experience some peace by walking the LABYRINTH and discovering Detroit's new urban meadows!!!
THIS IS A CONFERENCE YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS!!!
On Sunday, January 31, 2021 I had the privilege of preaching at Unitarian Universalist Church of Detroit on the need to provide spaces of safety in natural settings for BIPOC persons (Black, Indigenous and People of Color).
I used as my scriptural text John 4:7-15 on the time when Jesus met the Samaritan woman at the well and asked for a drink of water -- something that was against the custom of a Jew to inquire of such a woman. In this example, just as Jesus urged the woman to see Him as "living water", we can serve as “living water” for each other as a way to protect one another in all spaces -- including those of nature.
