Rev. Dr. Ventra Asana, now retired, is an ordained clergywoman with over 20 years’ experience in two denominations: ordained Elder of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, 4th Episcopal District with last charge at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Detroit and Deacon Clergy in the United Methodist Church, serving several parishes in ministries of community outreach and ecoministry.
As an educator Dr. Asana taught "Theological Writing and Research" at Ecumenical Theological Seminary (Detroit MI) and “Comparative Religion" at Henry Ford College (Dearborn MI) and conducted numerous workshops in spiritual formation, ecological awareness, and eco-labyrinth meditation.
